Working directly with schools
Choosing a school uniform supplier is a long-term decision. Parents expect garments that last a full year of washing and play, students need to be comfortable in the UAE climate, and the school needs a supplier that delivers on time for the first day of term.
We work directly with school leadership and administration teams on design, fabric choice and crest embroidery. Once a design is approved, we keep it on file so the uniform stays identical year after year and across every year group.
Uniform items by stage
- Nursery and kindergarten: soft polo shirts or T-shirts, shorts, skirts or trousers with elasticated waists, and easy-on PE wear
- Primary: shirts or polos with an embroidered crest, pinafores, skirts, trousers or shorts, and a PE kit in house colours
- Secondary: shirts and blouses, tailored trousers and skirts, ties where used, and blazers or jumpers for formal occasions
- PE and sports teams: T-shirts or polos, shorts, tracksuits and team kits
- Teachers and staff: polos or shirts that coordinate with the school colours
- Support staff: bus supervisors, cleaners and security in uniforms that match the school's palette
Modest options
Many UAE schools offer long-sleeve shirts, ankle-length skirts, trousers for girls and headscarves in the school colours. We design these as part of the same uniform family, so every option looks equally correct and families can choose without standing out.
Comfort and durability for the UAE climate
Students spend long hours in their uniforms, often moving between classrooms, buses and outdoor areas. We recommend breathable, easy-care fabrics for shirts and blouses and hard-wearing blends for trousers, skirts and pinafores. Moisture-wicking fabrics work well for PE kits, and stain-resistant finishes are available for younger children. Crests are embroidered rather than printed on formal items so they stay sharp.
Fabric choices and why
We show fabric swatches during design so the school can compare weight and colour, and choose fabrics families can wash easily at home.
- Poly-cotton shirting for shirts and blouses: breathable, quick to dry and easy to iron at home
- Polyester-viscose or polyester for trousers, skirts and pinafores: holds pleats and colour through a year of washing
- Pique knit for polos: comfortable for younger children and simple to embroider
- Moisture-wicking polyester for PE kits: lighter and quicker to dry in heat
- Knit or fleece for jumpers and tracksuits: warm enough for winter mornings without being bulky
Crests and branding
Your crest is digitised once and kept on file, so it looks identical on every garment and every year.
- Embroidered crest on the shirt pocket, polo chest or blazer pocket
- Printed or heat-transfer house names or numbers on PE kits
- Embroidered school name on caps and tracksuit jackets
- Thread colours matched to your crest and approved on a stitched sample
Planning around your academic calendar
The busiest time for school uniforms is the run-up to the new academic year. We agree a production plan with you well before term starts, covering design changes, sample approval and quantities by size. Mid-year top-ups for new students are handled in smaller runs.
- Design or update of the uniform and crest
- Sample approval by the school
- Size sets so families or staff can confirm sizes
- Production and quality checks
- Delivery to the school, packed by size or by class
Tenders and supplier changes
If you are changing supplier or running a tender, we can respond to your written specification, produce samples for evaluation and provide a written quotation by item. When a school changes its uniform design, we can plan a phase-in so families can keep using items that are still in good condition while new items are introduced.
Sizing children and staff
Children's sizing runs by age or height, and adult sizing from XS to 4XL, so a school range often covers both. Size sets at the school let families or class teachers check sizes before the main order, which reduces exchanges. For a whole-school order we work from a size breakdown by year group; for teacher and staff wear we collect sizes by name.
Children grow during the year, so it helps to keep a small reserve of popular sizes for mid-year changes and new students.
Care advice to share with families
- Wash at the temperature on the care label, usually 30–40°C
- Wash PE kits and printed items inside out, and avoid ironing directly on prints
- Iron embroidered crests from the reverse side
- Avoid fabric softener on moisture-wicking PE kits, as it can reduce wicking
- Wash dark items separately for the first few washes
School uniform planning checklist
- Items for each stage, including PE and staff wear
- Crest file and school colours
- Modest options to offer
- Who approves samples: leadership, board or parent committee
- Size breakdown by year group and a reserve for new students
- How uniforms reach families
- Delivery date before the start of term
